NEED FOR A NO-FAIL FLOOR SOLUTION

After a standard concrete floor failed at the joints and required a complete tear-out, the developer needed to make a change.

OBJECTIVES

United Properties, the developer of this third-party logisticswarehouse, used traditional concrete on an earlier projectwhich required significant repairs within 18 months of itsoriginal construction. Vowing to never go through the pain,expense, and uncertainty again, they looked to PrimX toeliminate the areas where the other floor failed: the joints.

SOLUTION

The solution was easy for United Properties: don’t use thesame floor and expect a different result. The PrīmX teamevaluated the required loads of the facility, tested the localaggregates and cements, and designed a specific mix tomeet & exceed the future demands of the floor.

Now, four years post placement, the floor is flatter than theday it was placed without any warranty work performed.The head of the facility, Keith Bailey, vows to never buildanother facility without PrīmX.
